The Cafeteria classes at BCSS focus on quantity food preparation and service. Students develop the skills necessary for commercial food preparation as they experience learning in a hands-on teaching kitchen. Students of the Cafeteria program can apply their learned skills to their homes as well as in the public food-service facilities.

The menu highlights some of the foods being prepared in classes and sold at noon and break to the school population. The menu is created in collaboration with students, staff and the teaching instructor, and takes into account the Guidelines for Healthy schools mandated by the B.C. Government in September 2008.

Each week a menu is posted that details the food that is produced from the intended learning outcomes for the week. At times, due to circumstances beyond control it may change.
