CONFIDENCE: Develop better study habits, improve your writing skills, and sharpen your problem-solving abilities. This will give you the confidence to tackle the academic changes that you can expect in college.

CREDIT: Allows a student to get University credit in high school and can save the student money. Entering college with AP credits give you time to move into upper-level courses in your field of interest, pursuer a double major, or study/travel abroad.

COLLEGE SUCCESS: Allows a student to learn about the work ethic needed to take a University level course. Research consistently shows that students who are successful I AP typically experience greater academic success in college than similar students who do not participate in AP.

 Strong Grade 10 students (current Grade 9) can take Statistics and Human Geography (with teacher
 Acceleration or Co-Requisites may be required to take some courses:
 To take AP Calculus, must have taken Pre-Calculus 12 AND Calculus 12
 To take AP English Literature, you must have taken English 12 AND Lit 12
 To take AP Chinese Language and Culture, you must have taken Mandarin 12 or a placement interview AND a good English 10 mark
 To take AP Biology, you will need to take Biology 11 Honours concurrently
 Micro and Macroeconomics are taken together
