GRAD 2020 UPDATE

Good afternoon 2020 Grads and Parents/Guardians of 2020 Grads.

The weather prediction continues to looks OKish!  Let’s hope the rain stays away!

Information for Wednesday:

Please find the list of students for your time slot.  Please look for your name.  If there is a problem, then please contact the office.

Please note, that we will start at 10:30 am instead of 10:00 am.  If you signed up for 10:00, you time slot has been moved to 10:30.

We made a slight adjustment to the organization of this event based on recommendations from the Health Authority.

Grads have signed up for a half hour time slot with 19 other grads.  To limit the number of people at the school at any given time, our Grads will be arranged alphabetically within their chosen time slot.  Please make sure that you are on time for your time slot.  The first 10 will be asked to leave their cars at the beginning of the time slot while the last 10 will be asked to leave their cars 15 min later.  For example, if you have chosen the 11:30 – 12:00 time slot, we expect that you will be in the school parking lot by 11:20.  The first 10 students by alpha grouping will be asked to come out at 11:30 and the last 10 will be asked to come out at 11:45.
Please refer to this diagram to see the flow of the event.

As well, we’ve made a video to help show you the path of the day.

In order to limit the number of people congregating at one given time, we ask that you follow these guidelines when you and your family witness your grad cross our stage.

  1. Parking will be limited.  A portion of the parking lot will be blocked off so that grads and parents can be marshalled.  Please limit to only 1 car per grad group.   We will have some spots reserved for Handicap and Elders to limit walking distances.  There is street parking on Percival Ave and Gilpin St for extra vehicles.
  2. Please arrive 10 min before your scheduled time.
  3. Only 2 people per grad during the event.  Other family members will be asked to socially distance on the turf field.  Please limit the number of extra family members that you are bringing and please be respectful of this turf.
  4. When your grad has crossed the stage and had their photo taken, we ask that you leave the school property to make space for other grads.

It is important that once your grad has crossed the stage, that you exit the school property.  We are inviting a lot of people over the course of the day to Central and we need to be mindful of the regulations surrounding gatherings.
