Annually, the BC Music Educators’ Association (BCMEA) hosts Provincial Honour Ensembles that auditions BC
music students to bring together top instrumentalists and vocalists from across the province. They receive music in the fall, have one regional rehearsal a few weeks before the conference, and a rigorous 3 day rehearsal schedule at the Chan Center for the Performing Arts out at UBC culminating in honour ensemble performances as part of the BCMEA Conference. It is a big honour to be selected as one of few representatives for the school and the district for these honour ensembles which include Honour Concert Choir, Honour Jazz Choir, Honour Jazz Ensemble, Honour String Orchestra, and Honour Wind Ensemble.
